Got Questions?

1. How many photos will we get?

LOTS! We're going to deliver every image that meets our standards...we're not going to hold out on you!

For an 8-hour wedding with 2 photographers, we usually shoot around 3,000-5,000 images. Trust me when I say you do NOT want all of them. We're going to cull out any duplicates, unflattering faces, unintentional closed eyes, lighting test shots, and blurry photos.

The final number for that same 8 hour, 2 photographer wedding usually varies between 600 to 1,200 images. It really depends on things like indoor/outdoor, time allotted for portraits, number of guests, energy level of the reception, and other stuff like that.

You can expect a bare minimum of 40 photos per photographer per hour of coverage...and generally a BUNCH more than that.

2. When will we get our photos?

We know you are hella excited to share some wedding photos, so we'll make sure to get you a couple of sneak peeks within 24 hours, and then a kickass preview gallery in the next 2 weeks.

We guarantee delivery of your full gallery within 12 weeks of your wedding date, but we typically deliver them within 6-8 weeks (or sooner, depending on time of year).

Engagement sessions are guaranteed in 6 weeks, but we typically them deliver around 3-4 weeks.

3. Do we have to order prints, albums, or cards through you guys?

Nope! We'll even give you a print release and a list of places we recommend!

HOWEVER, we HIGHLY recommend you order your traditional prints through your gallery. Our lab is good, fast, AND cheap...and you get them at cost. We don't make any money off the prints.

4. Can we post our photos on Insta-Tok-Book?

We'd be sad if you don't! Plaster those gorgeous photos of you all over the place! Just please don't put an awful filter on them, please. And we'd be so honored if you give us a tag or shout-out!

5. Can we get a disk or a USB drive with our photos?

It's the 21st century! Do those even exist anymore?!

Once your photos are ready, we'll email you a link to an online gallery with all your high-resolution files. It’s super easy to download them on your end, and it’s way faster for us to get them to you.

(Also, it's cheaper for you since we don't have to charge you sales tax on your entire wedding package. We got you, boo!)

6. Can we buy the copyright to our photos?

We find that when our clients ask about copyright, they are really asking about watermarks, printing, and sharing photos online. You are able to print them wherever you'd like or share them online. There is no watermark on the high resolution, edited images you receive.

We still own the copyright of our photos. You are not able to sell them or use them commercially (for instance in an ad or listing them on a stock photography website), nor are you allowed to edit the photos after they are delivered. This is standard across the wedding photography industry.

Buying the actual copyright of the photos is very expensive and is generally used by commercial or celebrity clients who need absolute ownership over the photos for marketing purposes.

Here is the wording of our contract in regards to copyright:

"Client will be supplied with a written print release, which grants Client the right to use and reproduce images for any personal, non-commercial use. This release does not allow the photos to be altered, sold, or published in any way absent the separate, express, written consent of Photographer. Copyright to all images shall remain with Photographer. Client hereby waives any claim for income and editorial control of any and all images.

Client grants Photographer permission to use any and all images created under this contract for professional samples, website, advertising, exhibitions, contests, and any other purpose."

If you would prefer us not to use your images for our marketing purposes, that is fine...we'll make a note on our end to keep them private.

If you would prefer to own the actual copyright to the photos, we can get you a quote, but it will be significantly higher than what is listed on our website.

1. Who is going to be my photographer?

Rhiannon shoots nearly all weddings, so you're pretty much stuck with her. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But, if she has another wedding on your date, there's a possibility we can still get you in with either Bryanna or Diana as your lead photographer. You'll know who your lead photographer is up front, and we'll make sure y'all meet each other well before the wedding.

2. What's the backup plan?

Lucky for you, Rhiannon is a little neurotic about making sure there's a backup plan for every possible scenario she can think of.

We have backups of all our cameras, lenses, flashes, lighting gear, memory cards, and batteries. We bring an impressive wedding emergency kit with us to every wedding. Heck, we even have a tool kit in the car if anyone needs, say, a socket wrench to retrieve a dropped wedding ring from under a deck (yep, it's happened)!

Back at the office, your files are triplicated and one set is stored off-site. We carry business liability insurance.

As for our photographers, we have backups of them too! We have access to a network of talented local and regional colleagues whom we're also honored to call our friends.

You can trust that we are going to do everything in our power to make sure your wedding day is captured beautifully.

3. Do you travel for out of town weddings?

Absolutely!!! We love to travel!

For any of the 2 photographer wedding packages, travel within 2 hours of Columbia, Missouri is included in the cost of your package.

For drivable distances outside of that radius or for 1 photographer packages, we charge $25 per hour (round trip).

We do destination weddings too! Please contact us for a customized travel quote.

4. Do you travel for out of town engagement sessions?

Also yes! For any place further than 30 minutes from Columbia, Missouri, the travel fee is $25 per hour (round trip).
